Our Youth Can Make a Difference in the World

“Young people are the answer because they’re full of energy. They’re not biased. They haven’t been made to have a hard heart. They’re very simple. They say ‘someone doesn’t have food? Well, we should give them food’.” – Dr. Andrew Simone

Helping others has the ability to transform not only the lives of those we help, but also our own.

When we volunteer our time or give without profit – it promotes feelings of empathy, compassion, and connection—all of which enhance the experience of serving others. Some of the most lasting benefits of giving and volunteering include:

  • Increased happiness and life satisfaction.
  • Reduced levels of anxiety and depression.
  • Strengthened relationships and sense of community.
  • Finding a greater purpose and meaning in one’s life.

“When we asked Mother Theresa “how can we get more people to help?” She answered “You don’t, you tell them what you do and if God wills them to help, they will.” – Dr. Andrew Simone

Volunteering is a great stepping stone - for life.

We often have young volunteers who are interested in a position in order to gain practical experience in social justice, as well as earn their required volunteering hours – doing something that makes them feel good. We encourage this positive action and invite anyone, with open arms.

Our Charity’s Volunteer Goals

Small Actions, Big Impact

Giving or Volunteering doesn’t always require a grand gesture. Our goals to promote a better world begin at home, through our warehouse Volunteers.

Our aim is:

  • To encourage the compassionate adults and youth of the world to build awareness of the poor amongst us.
  • To encourage the youth of Toronto and surrounding area to come to the warehouse and participate first hand in the work.
  • To raise awareness of the suffering of others in developing countries with others, to widen the circle of those wishing to help.
